March 12th, the award ceremony for the Fluke Three-phase Power Quality Analyzer Campus Creativity Contest was held. Sixteen students from twelve majors won awards, including four first prizes, six second prizes and six third prizes. Nearly 100 students from more than 20 majors had participated in the Fluke Three-phase Power Quality Analyzer Campus Creativity Contest in December 2012.
The awards ceremony was presided over by Professor WU Jianqiang, director of the Electrical and Electronic Experiment Teaching Center. Fluke Corporation North East District Sales Manager, CHEN Zhong, awarded the winners certificates and prizes. He encouraged students to make good use of the joint platform created by school and company to improve their innovation and practical skills. One of the first prize winners, LAI Qingzhi, made a speech on behalf of the winners.
The Fluke Corporation is a leader in the world for electronic test tools in production, distribution and services. The company’s wide range of products, include industrial test equipment, precision testing instruments, network test equipment, medical testing instruments and temperature testing instruments. The three-phase power quality analyzer is a special instrument for the monitoring and analysis of the quality of power supply and consumption of electrical energy to a grid or equipment. The company and HIT established a joint international laboratory in 2012. In the fall semester of 2012 more than 2400 students from more than 40 majors used the equipment in experiments and projects.
