March 29, Assistant President XU Dianguo warmly welcomed the Vice Rector for Foreign Affairs of Amur State University, Irina B. Keidun and her delegation.
Assistant President XU introduced the history of HIT’s cooperation with Russian universities and expressed his desire to strengthen the collaboration in the field of talent development and the scientific research. He invited Amur State University to participate as an observer in the ASTRU 29 Summit Qingdao Ocean-based R & D Sino-Russian Technological Innovation Forum to be held at the end of June in Qingdao. Assistant President XU hoped that Amur State University would soon become a member of the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASTRU) so that the two universities can develop interschool cooperation based on the ASTRU platform. Vice Rector Keidun spoke highly of the scientific research team of the School of Material Science and Engineering of HIT, and expressed her desire for further cooperation in the field of astronautics.
