On Oct 14, Vice President ZHOU Yu met Professor Du Van Vu and Professor PAN Jiantao from the Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science and signed a 3+2 Graduate Joint Training Agreement with Carnegie Mellon on behalf of HIT. Assistant President XU Xiaofei and representatives from the School of Computer Science and Technology and the International Office of HIT attended the meeting and signing ceremony.

Vice President ZHOU gave an overview of HIT, our strengths and on-going undergraduate education reform and then reviewed HIT’s history of collaboration with Carnegie Mellon. He said that the two universities have not only established research and teaching cooperation but have also achieved initial success in the area of undergraduate education. Professor Du Van Vu agreed with him and said that HIT students continue to stand out in the Carnegie Mellon in every aspect. He said that HIT and Carnegie Mellon are suitable for cooperation because they have so much in common.
