November 18, HIT Vice President REN Nanqi met Ural State Forest Engineering University Vice President Natalia Vintseeva and her delegation. Representatives of the International Office and International Student Center also attended the meeting.

Vice President REN introduced them to HIT. He mentioned the cooperation in personnel training and scientific research between HIT, Russian universities and research institutes. He focused on the development and significance of the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU). He hoped that the two universities could carry out high-level cooperation in the field of academic exchanges and joint scientific research. Vice President Natalia Vintseeva spoke highly of HIT’s achievements in research and innovation, especially in the field of aerospace, hoping the two universities can establish expert and scholar cooperation approaches in the design of transportation and vehicles, food science and other fields in order to promote the common development of disciplines. Ural State Forest Engineering University indicated that it would give more emphasis to the construction and development of ASRTU. During the visit, the delegation also visited the HIT Museum.

Located in Yekaterinburg, Ural State Forest Engineering University was founded in 1930. It is not only the forestry, vehicle road and personnel training base in the Urals and the surrounding areas but also the Russia Academy of Natural Sciences of the Ural region and the Ural Forestry Information Center. The school is a comprehensive university which has six research institutes, nine colleges and three branches.
