From March 26 to 28, CAI Jujin, Secretary of the Supervision Division in HIT was invited to attend the first Macau Forum. Nearly 200 delegates from Chinese Mainland, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau and foreign universities came to exchange ideas about the theme of “Multiculturalism: Legacy and Innovation”
It was organized by the Organizing Committee of the Macau Forum, and hosted by the Macau University of Science and Technology. Edmund Ho Hau wah, Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, XU Jialu, Vice-Chairman of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China and HAO Ping, Vice Minister of Ministry of the Education of the People’s Republic of China attended the opening ceremony.
The forum includes keynotes speeches and sub-forums to discuss related issues. In the sub-forum of “Multiculturalism: the Mission of the Heirs", on behalf of HIT, CAI gave a speech and introduced our practices in traditional cultural education from the aspects of developing students' sense of responsibility, curriculum construction and community cultural activities.
The Macau Forum brings together the world’s political, business, and academic insights to create a high-level platform for regional multicultural dialogues. The Forum invites renowned scholars and academics to prepare the path forward for friendly exchanges and peaceful coexistence among diverse cultures. Edmund Ho Hau-wah and XU Jialu are the honorary Chairman in the committee of the Macau Forum. The theme of the Forum is Diversity, Inclusiveness, and Development.
