From November 29th to December 5th, Chairman of HIT Director Board WANG Shuquan leading a delegation paid a visit to the University of Sydney (USYD), the University of Western Australia (UWA), and Curtin University in Australia. They also toured the Education Office of the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney and met with representatives of HIT alumni in Australia.

WANG made a communication with the heads of relevant departments and exchanged opinions with them on a series of issues like interscholastic science and research cooperation, faculty exchange and students’ joint training programs, to name just a few. On behalf of HIT, WANG signed the PHD Joint Training Program with the University of Sydney which enables PHD candidates of HIT to study in USYD and be awarded the two universities’ degrees after meeting the relevant requirements. A similar agreement was signed with Curtin University only that the objects were HIT’s outstanding undergraduates of Accounting major. In addition, an initial project on short-term exchange of undergraduates for study between HIT the University of Western Australia was launched.

During their stay in Australia, WNAG Shuguo also met with 20 alumni who shared their life, study or work situation in Australia. WANG in return, introduced HIT’s recent progress, hoping that that these alumni could keep their hard work in overseas with HIT always serving as their strong supporter. The alumni felt quite cheerful to learn HIT’s achievement and expressed they would like to bring Alma Mater greater honor with better performance.
