July 17th, HIT Vice President REN Nanqi met Dr Eugene Sebastian, Director of Global Management and Ms Rebecca Deng the Manager, China Engagement from Monash University.

The two groups had a good discussion about student exchange programs and research cooperation. After negotiations, HIT agreed to accept students from Monash University for Chinese language training, laboratory practice, participation in school curriculum and studying towards degrees through the CSC project. Monash University signed a joint training agreement with HIT, which will recommend outstanding HIT students to Monash University for PhD degree with scholarships, welcome PhD graduates from Monash University to apply to become HIT faculty and encourage young HIT teachers to become visiting scholars at Monash University.

The visit is a part of the G8-C9 project. During the visit, the guests gained a broad understanding of HIT departments, explored opportunities for cooperation and expanded the areas of collaboration.
