Professor FrangopolProfessor Frank Pearl has worked in the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest and the University of Colorado. He is an international renowned scholar of in the field of civil engineering, one of the pioneers of the Life-cycle Civil EngineeringInternational Engineering Life-cycle Theory and one of the founders and the executive chairman of the International Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety (IABMAS) and the International Association For Life-cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE). He is also the founder of the HYPERLINK "http://www.asce.org/sei/Content.aspx?id=23622324218" ASCE-SEI Technical Council on life-cycle performance, safety, reliability and risk of structural systems the technical committee of ASCE-SEI structural system of life-cycle performance, security, reliability, and risk. He holds the important positions in many international academic organizations. Professor FrangopolProfessor Frank Pearl has acquired received more than ten international renowned awards including the Distinguished Member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and te T.Y. Lin award. In 2000, Professor Frank Pearl was selected as an the Honorary Academician of the Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences.
