The Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation 2013 recently announced the winners of the 2013 awards. HIT Vice President, Director of the Key Laboratory of HIT Urban Water Resources and Water Environment and Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering REN Nanqi won the Science and Technology Progress Award.
The Ho Leung Ho Lee Award was established by the Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation established by Hong Kong industrialists SH Ho, Leung Kau-Kui, Ho Tim, and Lee Quo-Wei, in March, 1994. The Award is annual. 1048 people have won it so far, including 30 Science and Technology Achievement Awards, 884 Science and Technology Progress Awards and 134 Science and Technology Innovation Awards. The foundation aims to encourage and reward outstanding scientific workers and promotes the whole society’s respect of knowledge, talent and science. It is dedicated to encouraging scientific and technological workers to constantly make progress and accelerate the modernization of China.
The Ho Leung Ho Lee Foundation has three awards, the Science and Technology Achievement Award, the Science and Technology Progress Award and the Science and Technology Innovation Award. This year, a total of 46 Chinese scientists have received Ho Leung Ho Lee Prizes, including 1 winner of Science and Technology Achievement Award, 32 winners of Science and Technology Progress Awards and 13 winners of Science and Technology Innovation Awards.
