February 26th, the opening ceremony of the Civil Aircraft Flight Technology Laboratory was held in HIT. Former Vice President, Counselor of Heilongjiang Provincial Government SUN Heyi signed the Joint construction agreement with Chief Pilot of the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China and Director of Civil Aircraft Technology Research Center QIAN Jin. Then they opened the laboratory together. Representatives of the Civil Aircraft Technology Research Center of the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China, the Science and Industrial Technology Research Institute, the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation and the Automated Test and Control Institute also attended the opening ceremony.

The laboratory belongs to the Automated Test and Control Institute of HIT. It takes advantage of our strength in the field of test technology, in order to create a high-level flight testing technology research platform to support the tasks of the research center. The laboratory will strive for national major basic research and projects, and improve the development of research groups and talent cultivation. Both sides established the goal of leading development of domestic civil aircraft flight test technology. They are also trying to compete with the domestic first-class, and internationally recognized state-level key laboratories.

Director QIAN and Counselor SUN said that this kind of laboratory building is an in-depth exploration in the field of school-enterprise cooperation, which is conducive to further advances in scientific research and university research cooperation. They also hoped both sides will continue to consolidate the existing cooperation, especially in fields of composite materials, advanced welding and flight testing, and begin joint research in the field of the future development of large aircraft, in order to make greater contributions towards the development of civil aircraft.

After the opening ceremony, Director QIAN and his delegation visited monitoring and control of the Automated Test and Control Institute to hear relevant reports, and hold exchange discussions with researchers on large aircraft testing and other issues.
