Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China has announced the finalists of 2013 Promotion Plan for the Implementation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy. Our school achieved outstanding results. The “Advanced Thermal Protection Materials and Structures Innovation” team and “Micro-satellite Technology, Innovation and Rapid Response” team were selected as key fields of innovation teams. Our school became one of the two universities of the country which are on the list. It is also the only university of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China that was selected. MENG Songhe, Professor WANG Aijie, Professor ZHANG Xinghong, Professor ZHU Jiaqi, Professor LIU Gang were selected as "Young Leading Talent in Technological Innovation", with the selected number ranking second in the country; Professor WANG Rongguo and ZUO Hongbo were selected as the "Technology Innovation Talent".
In total, there were 267 Youth Scientific Innovation Talents (University 125 people, scientific research institutes 94 people and companies 48 people), 67 key fields innovation teams (29 colleges and universities, 21 scientific research institutes and 17 companies) and 38 Demonstration Base of Cultivation Innovative Talents. Our school was successful in being selected as the demonstration base of the cultivation of innovative talents, one of the 6 universities that was selected in the first batch.
The Promotion Plan for the Implementation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy is one project which is supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China, the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the National Technology. It is the foundation of the national "Thousands of People Plan". The Promotion Plan for the Implementation of the National Intellectual Property Strategy is part of the "National Long-term Talent Development Program Plan (2010-2020)". it aims to cultivate a batch of world-famous scientists, a high level of science and technology leading talents and innovation teams, excellent engineers and entrepreneurial talent, to provide strong talent support for improving skills in independent innovation and to build an innovation oriented country.
