March 14 to 16, Université Pierre et Marie CURIE President Jean CHAMBAZ, Université de Technologie de Compiègne President Alain STORCK and Sorbonne Universités Director International Cornelia MARIN and their delegation visited HIT, and attended the first HIT - Sorbonne Universités Research, Innovation and Education Seminar. The Counselor for Science and Technology, the Embassy of France in China, Norbert Paluch,
and Antoine Mynard, Director of the CNRS Office in China were included in the delegation. Harbin Deputy Mayor ZHANG Xianyou met with the delegation.
At the opening ceremony, President Chambaz presented a report about the “Research and Education Strategy of Sorbonne Universités” and President Storck spoke about the “Innovation and Industry Cooperation of Sorbonne Universités”. HIT President WANG Shuguo also attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Directors of relevant departments including the International Office, Graduate School and Scientific and Industrial Technology Research Institute also attended.
During the seminar, Vice President DING Xuemei and Assistant XU Dianguo met with the delegation and discussed teaching and research cooperation. They identified further areas and methods of cooperation in the Masters and PhD area.
Professors of the Robotics Institute, the School of Energy Science and Engineering, the School of Electronics and Information Engineering and School of Computer Science and Technology discussed academic research with the professors included in the delegation. They discussed research conditions and areas of cooperation.
