March 20th, the HIT Technology Education Development Foundation held a commemorative medal presentation ceremony. Vice President of HIT Technology Education Development Foundation, GUO Bin presented donors with commemorative medals and certificates. Representatives from the HIT Alumni Union, the HIT Technology Education Development Foundation and the School of Civil Engineering also attended the ceremony.
The donations included, the Shenzhen Pengcheng Construction Group Co Ltd. donated 500,000 yuan to construct a civil engineering research building; Guangdong Kinlong Hardware Products Co., Ltd. donated 400,000 yuan for the “Kinlong Teaching Scholarship” of the School of Civil Engineering and alumni from the Department of Building Materials in 1994 donated 104,900 yuan for scholarships and infrastructure in the School of Civil Engineering. Vice President of HIT Technology Education Development Foundation, Executive Vice President of HIT Alumni Union CUI Guolan announced the donations at the ceremony.
During the ceremony, the Deputy General Manager of the Pengcheng Construction Group, alumni from 1994 ZHANG Chengliang and representative of alumni from Department of Building Materials in 1994 made presentations about their initiatives. They expressed their gratitude to HIT, and showed that they would always pay attention to the development of HIT. They hoped to indirectly improve the quality of personnel training and the establishment of schools by improving hardware facilities and scholarships. They also looked forward to receiving ongoing support from HIT. The CEO of Guangdong Kinlong Hardware Products Co., LTD. BAI Baokun said that they would not forget to fulfill their social responsibilities and obligations in the development of their companies. He hoped that more teachers and students could devote themselves to research and contribute innovatively to the development of steel and lock structures in China through the establishment of the “Kinlong Teaching Scholarship”.
Vice President GUO thanked the donors on behalf of HIT. Every step of the development of the school is inseparable from the concern and support of alumni and the community. The foundation will make good use of every sum of money to improve the development of HIT. HIT would also pay attention to development of donors and alumni.
