April 11th, Vice President of Shenhua Group LI Dong and his delegation visited HIT for discussions related to cooperation on the development and application of coal chemical and wastewater treatment technology. Vice Present REN Nanqi was responsible for the meeting.
Representatives of schools and enterprises conducted in depth discussions. Vice President LI said that during developments, the Shenhua Group always adheres to the concept of energy saving and practices social responsibility. They hope to solve the problem of enterprise development with waste water treatment technologies in the coal chemical industry with HIT, and to develop substantive cooperation in the environmental field at the same time. During the meeting, the two sides reached a preliminary agreement on cooperation in related areas.
During their visit Vice President LI and his delegation visited the National Engineer Research Center of Urban Water Resources, several laboratories, the research and development platform of the School of Municipal and Environmental Engineering, and the State Key Laboratory of Urban Water Resource and Environment, in which they were briefed by reports and presentations.
The Shenhua Group is a state-owned enterprise directly under the central government and a super large-scale energy enterprise with coal as its foundation, covering electric power, railway, port, shipping, coal-to-liquids and coal chemical engineering and integrates production, transportation and sale. It is also the largest and most advanced coal enterprise in China and the largest coal distributor in the world.
