With the ending of the Third National Contest of College Counselors Professional Capacity second division, HIT counselor MENG Xiaohui from the School of Computer Science and Technology gained first prize, successfully reaching the national finals; and another counselor SU Ji from the School of Mechatronics Engineering gained the Division prize.

In two days of intense competition, 50 outstanding counselors from Tianjin, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang each showed their style, based on a basic knowledge test, self-introduction and presentation, keynote speeches, case studies, and role plays. The counselors showed the features and results of student work in their respective colleges and universities, from different angles showing the ability of solving and understanding real student work problems, and the outstanding ability of carrying out ideological and political education. This competition is both a “tourney field” to the excellent counselors from various provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities and a “model lesson” to counselors to learn and exchange experience.

To further enhance the overall level of professional competence in counselors, in addition to our school counselors participating actively in competition, each college also recommended 15 counselors to gain practical experience, which received good results.
