May 13th, the Digital Resource Mobile Service Seminar and China Academic Library & Information System (CALIS) Twelfth Introduction Database Training Week opened in HIT’s second campus. The training week’s theme is "Digital Resources, Mobile Services." Assistant President XU Xiaofei attended the opening ceremony. Director of the HIT Library WANG Tiecheng presided over the opening ceremony. Assistant President XU analyzed the advantages of the digital resources mobile service platform, introduced work undertaken by HIT and achievements in this area in recent years, and pointed out the existing problems. The chairman of the Digital Resource Acquisition Alliance of Chinese Academic Libraries, the Deputy Director of the Management Center of CALIS, the director of Peking University Library ZHU Qiang analyzed the development in the area in the modern era, stressing the importance and significance of mobile services of digital resources in library development.

Activities during the week included a Digital Resources Seminar and the Introduction of Mobile Services Database Training in two parts. CALIS organized for international experts; database providers and University Library representatives to share their experiences, discuss problems, and suggest solutions. It will also hold discussions about the current situation of universities in introducing database procurement and the direction of future developments.
