On July 9th, Carlo Cecati, Professor of the Department of Information Engineering, Computer Science and Mathematics, University of L’Aquila was appointed as HIT’s international academic advisor. The appointment ceremony was held in Room121 of the administration building. HIT President ZHOU Yu awarded Professor Cecati the letter of appointment.
President ZHOU highly praised Professor Cecati’s achievements, introduced HIT’s development situation and hoped that Professor Cecati can introduce the advanced experience and ideas of foreign universities, carry out further cooperation with HIT in talent training, discipline construction and scientific research, and promote HIT to world-class university.
Professor Cecati expressed his great honor upon becoming HIT’s international academic advisor and conveyed his desire to actively promote cooperation between HIT and the University of L’Aquila to support the development and construction of HIT’s electrical engineering and automation discipline.
The appointment ceremony was presided over by GAO Huijun, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department. PENG Yu, Assistant Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation introduced Professor Cecati’s background. Professor Cecati is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and one of the most outstanding scholars in the electrical and electronics engineering field. He has written several highly influential academic works on electrical engineering and automation, has edited many textbooks, published more than 130 papers in international academic journals and conferences, and holds senior posts in the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and other international academic organizations.
HIT Assistant President XU Dianguo and administrators of the Human Resources Department and the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation also attended the appointment ceremony.
