On July 10th, HIT Vice President REN Nanqi met a delegation from the University of Leeds. Both sides signed a cooperation memorandum.
Vice President REN introduced HIT to the visitors. HIT and University of Leeds have numerous similarities in curriculum and school characteristics which helps facilitate potential cooperation. REN expressed wishes that the two schools can communicate more in scientific research and develop new cooperation areas through complementary advantages. Head of the delegation, Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Stephen Scott, expressed purposed cooperation in chemical engineering, material science, environmental science and other areas.
Relevant staff in the International Cooperation Department and School of Chemical Engineering and Technology also attended the meeting.
