On July 16th, a Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education, Professor SHI Xu, was hired as a part-time professor at HIT. Assistant Principal AN Shi issued the letter of appointment.
Assistant Principal AN introduced Foreign language teaching at HIT to Professor SHI and expressed hope that he could provide intellectual support in discipline development, teaching staff, personnel training, international exchange and top-level design.
Professor SHI noted that being employed as a part-time professor of HIT is an honor. He has had exchanges and cooperation with HIT, he said, and he will now take practical action to help the development of young teachers and do his best to contribute to HIT.
Party Secretary of the School of Foreign Languages, LI Yanping, presided over the ceremony. Dean of the School of Foreign Languages, FU Li, introduced the resume of Professor SHI. SHI is a Changjiang Scholar of the Ministry of Education, and a doctoral supervisor. He created the Chinese discourse research system, and established the theoretical framework of Chinese discourse study.
