"Sing • Youth" welcome party held for HIT freshmen

On the evening of September 8th, "Sing • Youth," a welcome party for the freshman of HIT, was held onthe university’s second campus. Secretary of the CPC Committee of HIT, WANG Shuquan, came to the party and celebrated Teachers' Day and Mid-Autumn Festival with all freshmen. Assistant President XuXiaofei, along with representatives from other departments also came to watch the show with students.
 
At 17:50, the students, who were dressed in military uniforms, were led to the sports field by their instructors. In the darkening sky, the scenes on the big screen became brighter. All the new students attentively watched HIT’s story played on the big screen and felt sincerely proud of HIT.
 
"We're doing things for one principle every day, this is the spirit of HIT, the motto of HIT," Professor MA Jing and Professor TAN Liyingof theFreespace Optical Communication Technology Research Center gave a brief introduction about the "Star-Ground Laser Link Experiment" project and encouraged students to take responsibility for their country.  Other teachers of HIT also expressed their wishes for the freshmen.
 
The party began with the song "Miracle.”Afterwards, the passionate, multi-ethnic,dance performance, "Yuan Ju Qing Chun," kicked off anexciting evening. Colorful programs entertained everyone: the song "Mooncast" inspired thoughts of Mid-Autumn Festival; the dance "Father" deeply touched many in the audience; the song and dance "You Are the Light" expressed the spirit of MA Zuguang; and "Red Flag Ode" enabled students to feel the spirit of HIT. The party came to an end with the "Song of HIT.”
