HIT student attends 2014 China-US Youth Forum

On September 11th, the 2014 China-US Youth Forum ended in Shanghai. CHANG Lin, the prizewinner of HIT’s 6th “Top Ten Gifted Persons” and a doctoral student in the School of Computer Science and Technology attended the forum. In the sub forum, CHANG Lin, as the chairman, gave a report titled, Intelligent Robot Changes Human Life, based uponhis study in this field. He introduced the progress in the field of artificial intelligence androbot technology and its new applications.
 
Guided by the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the China-USYouth Forum was sponsored by the Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China, theShanghai Overseas Chinese Foundation, the Thousand Strong Foundation, the Office ofInternational Relations of Beijing University, and the Shanghai International CultureAssociation. It was hosted by the School of International Relations and Public Affairs of Fudan University. This theme of the forum was, “Youth bridge: to learn, to experience, and to connect.” Sixty excellent students from China and the US, including students fromTsinghua University, Beijing University, and Chongqing University and other key universities in China, were invited to participate. At the opening ceremony, former American presidentJimmy Carter gave a speech. He also interacted with youth attending the forum. Followingthe forum, an article named the Shanghai Consensus was published. In the article, the authors maintained that youth from both countries should get involved in international relations and public affairs, becoming more positive and more active, in order to resolve potential conflicts, promote sustainable development, and create a new situation of cooperation between China and the US.
