On the morning of November 6th, a staff walk and the establishment ceremony for the HIT Staff Walking Association, “Walking Happily and Living Healthily,” was held by the HIT School Office and the HIT School Working Association on the square in front of the library. Assistant President and Honorary President of the HIT Staff Walking Association, AN Shi, attended the activity and presented a flag to the association.
AN Shi expressed congratulation regarding the establishment of the association and conveyed wishes that all the staff might be able to communicate, learn, exercise and develop friendships from walking, and also to accelerate more positive energy to devote themselves to the development of HIT.
After the establishment ceremony, 385 staff from 27 departments of HIT, wearing Association T-shirts, walked from Walking Street, past the Exercise Court, by the Basketball Court and the School Supermarket to the destination, the School Library. On the way, the walking enthusiasts promoted the association to students and teachers and appealed to more students and teachers to do exercise in their free time and to live a low-carbon life from the fog and haze.
After the activity, attendees expressed their love for this kind of activity because everyone can participate. The attendees said they are willing to continue this walking activity in order to strengthen their body and live a healthier life.
