On November 26th, HIT held the Harbin Institute of Technology Education Development Foundation Commemorative Medal Award Ceremony. HIT alumni of 1986, graduates of Automatic Control discipline, and former HIT teachers WU Yongqiang and LIU Jianweidonated 500,000 yuan to the HIT Education Development Foundation respectively and set up a "Yongqiang Fund" and "Jianwei Fund," which are shares of the HIT "LI Chang Education Fund.' Vice President AN Shi awarded the Commemorative Medals and certificates. The Secretary-General of the HIT Education Development Foundation,ZHENG Shixian, presided over the ceremony. Vice President of the HIT Education Development Foundation and Vice President of the Alumni Association, CUI Guolan,respectively signed the donation agreements with two alumni. Former Vice President ZHANG Wenyi, related staff of the Alumni Office and the HIT Education Development Foundation attended the ceremony.

Alumni WU Yongqiang is the Chairman of the Board of the Shenzhen Topband Co., Ltd.Alumni LIU Jianwei is the Chairman of the Board of the Shenzhen H&T Intelligent Control Co., Ltd. They both expressed their thanks for the cultivation and care given to them byHIT. They said that HIT developed their healthy and positive outlook on life, world outlook, values and down to earth spirit of work and taught them how to get along with people andbe grateful. They thought that it was every alumnus’s responsibility to contribute to their alma mater, and it was also the obligation of enterprises to support education. They said that they would do more to contribute to HIT’s further development.

Vice President AN Shi, on behalf of HIT expressed thanks to Alumni WU Yongqiang and LIU Jianwei. He said that the donation would be put into "LI Chang Education Fund." It was a meaningful ceremony, and facilitated the heritage of HIT’s spirit and culture.
