86 HIT Students win Kwang-HuaScholarship

On December 5th, HIT held the awardsceremony for theKwang-Hua Scholarship. Eighteenundergraduate students including YI Chunzhi, 52 graduate students including SONG Xiaoya, and 16 PhD Students including CHEN Zhengsheng, won the 2013-2014 Kwang-HuaScholarship. Related individualsof the Office for Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs and the HIT Education Foundation of Development and HIT Student Affairs Department attended the ceremony.
 
Kwang-Hua Education Foundation CEO CHEN Zhenchuan, and Assistant President XU Xiaofei respectively delivered speeches and awarded certificates to student representatives. HIT Student Affairs Department Director SHAO Bing read the commending decision. School of Electrical Engineering and Automation student ZHAI Xiaoyu, as student representative, gavea speech to expressthanks. CEO CHEN, on behalf of the Kwang-Hua Education Foundation, accepted letters of thanks from the students.
 

The Kwang-Hua Education Foundation was founded in 1989. Its founder and first President was NAN Huaijin. The foundation has set up scholarships at34 universities over the past 25 years. It has subsidized 140 thousand students. The foundationset up scholarships at HIT in 1996, and now has become the most extensive coverage with the largest number of winners. More than 2000 students have been subsidized at HIT.
