On January 1st, the unveiling ceremony of the HIT Robot Group was held in the Jingkai District of Harbin. LU Hao, the Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor of Heilongjiang, HU Yafeng, the Vice Governor and Secretary of the State Assets Administration Committee of Heilongjiang province, SONG Xibin, the Vice Secretary of the Municipal Committee and Mayor of Harbin, JIA Jiantao, the Vice Mayor of Harbin, and WANG Shuquan, the Secretary of the Party Committee of HIT attended the unveiling ceremony.
LU Hao, SONG Xibin and WANG Shuquan inaugurated the HIT Robot Group. WANG Shuquan, JIA Jiantao and HU Yafeng gave speeches and offered congratulations on the establishment of the HIT Robot Group. They also put forward valuable suggestions for the development of the group.
In his speech, WANG Shuquan first said, that the HIT Robot Group was established at a critical moment of deep reform and transformation and upgrading in Heilongjiang province, and it is HIT’s duty to serve the economic and social development of Heilongjiang province. Second, he pointed out that provincial and municipal governments attached great importance and expectations on the group, and the establishment of the group resulted from this governmental support, thus, the group would strive for scientific planning and development, trying to live up to their expectations. He also stated that the group should have a high starting point and strict standards and it should be run according to a market mentality. In addition, he added that they would also integrate the inside and outside resources of the campus including market, technology and policies, and they would make efforts in liberating minds, innovating models, building brand and speeding up development. Through these efforts, they would be able to create world leading robot products, cultivate talent who can guide the robot industry to the forefront of the field, and create an industry model that can affect the development of robotics. Finally, he showed that HIT would give full support to the development of the group and would conscientiously carry out the policies of provincial and municipal governments.
The HIT Robot Group was jointly established by the Heilongjiang provincial government, the municipal government and HIT, and is committed to the development of the world’s leading robotics products and the building of a new industrial development model. It also aims to promote the development of the robotics and intelligent equipment industry, the core competence of industry, and the optimization and upgrading of industry in Heilongjiang province, in order to better transform the robotics advantage into economic advantage. Based on HIT’s technical advantages in the robotics and intelligence equipment fields, together with the whole country, the group will provide unique technologies, core components, leading products and industry solutions in nine main robotics industries through independent innovation. These nine industries include: industrial robots, service robots, agriculture automation, intelligent logistics, energy conservation and environment protection equipment, intelligent equipment for casting and forging, robotics for food and drug production, for tire production, and for the production of complete intelligent equipment are included. The group comprehensively meets the requirements of national economic key areas for robotics and the automation-oriented high-end intelligent equipment.
Individuals from relevant provincial and municipal departments, Vice Presidents of HIT, HAN Jiecai and GUO Bin, individuals from the Science and Industrial Technology Research Institute, the State Assets Department and the Asset Management Company of HIT, along with representative teachers of HIT, attended the unveiling ceremony.
