On January 20th, Senior Vice President of Suez Environnement (one of the top 500 enterprises), Paul-Joël Derian, and his delegation, visited HIT and conducted business and academic exchanges with experts and scholars from the State Key Laboratory of Urban Water Resource and Environment. Vice President of HIT and the Director of the Lab, REN Nanqi, attended the exchange conference.
During the conference both sides discussed their achievements regarding aspects of drinking water treatment, waste water recycling and processing, waste treatment, and resource recovery. They also carried out extensive and in-depth discussions on modes of scientific research project cooperation and a full range of strategic cooperation between the group and HIT.

Their major business includes drinking water production and distribution, sewage collection and treatment, and waste disposal and recycling. To date they have managed 30 water service projects in more than 20 cities, and have designed and built over 220 water plants and sewage treatment plants.
