Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology published its list of individuals selected for the Promotion Plan of National Innovative Talents (hereafter called, “the Plan”) in 2014. GAO Haibo of the School of Mechatronics Engineering, ZHENG Ping of the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, YANG Chunhui of the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, and LI Bing of the Shenzhen Graduate School have been granted recognition as, “Young Leading Talents in Scientific and Technological Innovation.”
The Plan is a cultivation program of national high level innovative talents, organized and implemented by the state in 2011. The Plan consists of four categories: young leading talents in scientific and technological innovation, sci-tech innovative and entrepreneurial talents, innovative teams in key areas and model bases of the cultivation of innovation talents. Additionally, the Plan is an important part of the Specialized Support Program of National High Level Innovative Talents (also called the “People Plan”). In 2013, HIT became one of six universities chosen as a first model base for the cultivation of innovative talents.
