On May 6, HIT held the HIT Education Development Foundation Commemorative Medal Awarding Ceremony. Beijing Gridsum Technology Corporation donated eight million RMB to HIT for the construction discipline that includes the development of a big data field and HIT. The Director-general of HIT’s Education Development Foundation and Party Secretary WANG Shuquan awarded the Donation Commemorative Medal, certification, and Outstanding Contribution Award to the corporation.
The Secretary-general of HIT Education Development Foundation ZHENG Shixian presided over the ceremony. The Deputy Director-general, the Vice President of Alumni Union CUI Guolan, on behalf of HIT, signed the donation agreement with the corporation. The Deputy Director-general of HIT Education Development Foundation and the Vice President GUO Bin read the presentation decision. The lead staff of Beijing Cridsum Technology Corporation, HIT School Office, HIT Development Foundation, HIT Enrollment and Employment Office, HIT Network and Information Center, the School of Computer Science and Technology, and the School of Economy and Management attended the ceremony.
The President of the Board and the CEO of Beijing Gridsum Technology Corporation QI Guosheng introduced the development history and current situation of the corporation in his speech. He said that the visiting of HIT Museum brought him great positive energy and made him understand the profound meaning of HIT’s motto “Being strict in qualifications for graduates, making every endeavor in educating students.” He hoped to provide support for the development of big data science and related disciplines at HIT, thus promoting further development of big data science in China.
The Director-general of HIT Education Development Foundation and Party Secretary WANG, on behalf of HIT, expressed thanks to Beijing Gridsum Technology Corporation for their charity in education. He said that the corporation has achieved rapid development and ranked among the top Chinese software enterprises based on its innovation in two core areas of cloud computing and big data in the ten years since its establishment in 2005. He also said that HIT computer science had a good foundation in talents training and research, whose strength was great and unique. HIT would recommend more outstanding graduates to the corporation and support its development. He hoped that the corporation could pay more attention to the development of Heilongjiang and find more investment programs.
