From May 8 to 9, the Sixth National Application Skills Competition of "SWARE Cup" Building Information Modeling finals (Northern Division) was held in the gymnasium. This event was sponsored by the China Construction Education Association and hosted by HIT and Shenzhen Sware Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. HIT had three teams in the finals, and some of these teams won one (1) second prize and two (2) third prizes.
At the opening ceremony, assistant to the president of HIT PENG Yuankui, vice president of Huazhong University of Science and Technology DUAN Xianzhong, Secretary-General of China Investigation & Design Association WANG Ziniu, president of Shenzhen Sware Hi-Tech Co., Ltd. (THSWARE) PENG Ming and vice chairman of China Construction Education Association WANG Fengjun made speeches respectively.
There were more than 2700 teams from 380 universities to enter the competition, in which over 320 teams got to the finals. The final was divided into eight parts: architectural design, green building analysis, structural design and analysis of structures, equipment design and HVAC design, three parts about dimensional system of software calculating an amount and bill quantity valuation as well as other parts.
The National "SWARE Cup" Building Information Modeling Application Skills Competition has been held five times. The process was divided into the register, online registration, training in universities, network promotion events, selection in school and nationwide as well as the National Finals.
