On May 13, HIT held the HIT Education Development Foundation Commemorative Medal Awarding Ceremony. YIHON Petrochemical Co., Ltd donated one million RMB to the HIT Education Development Foundation, which will be used for construction of the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, laboratory construction and teaching awards. Vice President XU Dianguo awarded the Donation Commemorative Medal, the certification and the Outstanding Contribution Award to the corporation.

The Secretary-general of HIT Education Development Foundation ZHENG Shixian presided over the ceremony. The Deputy Director-general, the Vice President of Alumni Union CUI Guolan attended the ceremony. The lead staff of the Institute of Science and Industrial Technology and the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology attended the ceremony.

The President of the YIHON Petrochemical Co., Ltd ZHOU Zhongcheng introduced the development and management of the corporation. He said that the company was obliged to take on more social responsibility during the development and growth. Dedication to the cause of education benefited the contemporary era and the future generations. He hoped that the company could get the support of HIT, especially from the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology in science innovation and technology upgrading.

Vice President XU, on behalf of HIT, thanked the company for their long-term concern to the education of HIT. He said that HIT had great advantages in research and development and talented students. YIHON Petrochemical Co., Ltd always insisted on the strategy of creating Chinese high-end lubricant. Both sides attached great importance to innovation leading to development. He hoped that both sides would have more cooperation in other fields and be mutually beneficial to one another.
