On June 6, many people gathered in the pedestrian street of HIT. They come from 105 countries from five continents, with different complexions and languages. Students from both domestic and overseas showed their culture in various forms at the first international culture carnival of HIT. And many teachers and students from both domestic and overseas were attracted to stand to watch it.
FAN Hongbo, the director of international student center held the opening ceremony of the carnival. REN Nanqi, the vice president of HIT and ZHANG Dazhu, the director of international relations office of education department of Heilongjiang province attended the ceremony and gave speeches. In their speeches, they hoped that the platform would be established for international students to show their culture and that every participant would learn about something new and make new friends, so to strengthen the integration and communication of Chinese and overseas students.
It is said that this activity was held by the international student center, the school league committee, the student affairs office, the international cooperation office, the school of science and other relative departments and was undertaken by HIT Call Center and HIT Student Union. With the theme of “One Belt One Road Prosperity Together, China and the world Hand in Hand”, this activity aims at providing a stage for international students to show their culture and a window for Chinese students to learn the world, so as to promote the community of Chinese and international students, raise the influence of international education of HIT and advance the international campus construction. The activity was carried out in the form of program shows and culture exhibitions. There are not only the superb performances of dance, songs and traditional instruments, but also the exhibitions about their history, culture, food and clothes. It was a multicultural feast.
