On August 1st, a meeting about the arrangements of the registration work of the freshmen in 2015 was held at Room 320 of the activity center of HIT. Peng Yuankui, the assistant president attended the meeting and put forward several requirements for the registration work of freshmen.
It is said that for the convenience of the registration of the freshmen and to simplify the registration procedures, HIT will set up an undergraduate registration service system. After logging into the system by entering his/her ID number and the acceptance letter number, he/she could obtain the latest release notices and announcements of HIT and the admission guide, checking his/her student number, school, major, class, dormitory and other related information. In addition, the freshmen could pre-register online before officially registering, getting to know the relevant admission procedures in advance. According to the Notice on the Admission Work in Autumn Semester in 2015 of HIT, the registration time of undergraduates is from September 10 to 11 and the registration time of the postgraduates is on September 10.
Peng Yuankui pointed out that all the departments and schools of HIT should attach great importance to the registration work, making systematic plans and thoughtful arrangements and implementing the work with a high sense of responsibility; they should also better complete the registration work according to the general requirements of “Active, Enthusiastic, Meticulous”, making a detailed work program, understanding the relevant situations, actively accomplishing the work from the point of view of the students. He required that the relevant units should actively cooperate with the Information Office to better complete the test and operation of the undergraduate registration service system, actively putting forward requirements and suggestions. In addition, the relevant unit should also listen to the opinions of the students thus to better perfect and realize the functions of the undergraduate registration service system.
At the meeting, Division of Postgraduate Affairs, Division of Student Affairs, Division of Student Enrollment and Employment, Department of Basic Education, Logistics Department, University Hospital, Finance Department, Network and Information Center, International Student Center and other units respectively made introductions and arrangements on the registration work, listening to the advice from the attendants.
Officials from HIT School Office, Youth League Committee and other schools attended the meeting.
