HIT Newspaper（by/Liu Xunyi Photo/Feng Jian) On August 4, Vice President Ren Nanqi met with Mr. Ben Allen, California State Senator, and his delegation at the 121 meeting room in the administration building. During the talk, they discussed the environmental protection. Mr. Ren Nanqi introduced his research work to Mr. Ben Allen. BenMr. Allen also said he was trying to participate in environmental protection and directed the education affairs in his senatorial district. Ren Nanqi expressed his hope of promoting the cooperation between Heilongjiang Province, Harbin Institute of Technology, and the University of California. They discussed how to encourage more American students to learn in Harbin. They intended to cooperate in promoting students exchange programs between California and Heilongjiang Province.
Mr. Ben Allen also visited the government, Education Department and Environmental authorities of Heilongjiang Province.
