On September 7th, the enlistment ceremony of HIT was held at Activity Center. The assistant president Peng Yuankui was present and delivered a speech.

During the speech, Peng Yuankui expressed his congratulations and hope to the students who would join the army. He hoped that students should improve their political accomplishment, foster correct outlooks on the world, life and values, keep firmly in mind our mission goal and maintain high consistency with the Party Central Committee. Students should learn new things, practice military skills, master excellent military abilities and strive to be good servicemen. Students should give full play to the advantages of servicemen from college students, bring the spirit of HIT to the army for the glory of the school, and continue to hone and improve themselves to overcome their own shortcomings. Students should incorporate themselves into military life and carry on the excellent tradition of the army back to school to contribute to the school’s talent-development.

The minister of the Armed Forces Department Su Gongcheng reported on HIT’s recruitment work this year. Twelve students of HIT joined the army, which is the largest number ever. Students talked about their reasons for joining the army and made comments on the school’s recruitment work. Armed forces’ staff introduced some matters which need to be considered in military life.
