On August 5th, HIT held the HIT Education Development Foundation Commemorative Medal Awarding Ceremony. Kuishan Baojin Laser Welding Co., Ltd. donated one million Chinese Yuan to HIT as the HIT "Baojin laser" scholarships. Jilin Province Dunhua Forest Machine Boiler Manufacturing Co., Ltd. donated 200,000 Chinese Yuan to HIT for the construction of the laboratory of the Institute of Energy and Environment Engineering, which belongs to the School of Energy Science and Engineering. Harbin Zhicai Coal Distribution Co., Ltd. donated 200,000 Chinese Yuan for the Chunhui innovation incentive fund. The Director-general of HIT Education Development Foundation, Party Secretary Wang Shuquan awarded the Donation Commemorative Medals and certifications to the three corporations and Outstanding Contribution Award to Kuishan Baojin Laser Welding Co., Ltd.
The Secretary-general of HIT’s Education Development Foundation Zheng Shixian presided over the ceremony. The Deputy Director-General, the Vice President of Alumni Union Cui Guolan, on behalf of HIT, signed the donation agreements with the corporations. The Deputy Director-Generals of HIT Education Development Foundation Guo Junwei and Yu Haiying read the presentation decisions respectively.
The lead staff of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, the School of Energy Science and Engineering, the Alumni Union and the HIT School Office attended the ceremony.
The President of Kuishan Baojin Laser Welding Co., Ltd. and Hong Kong R&F Investment Co., Ltd. Li Guoxin, the General Manager of Jilin Province Dunhua Forest Machine Boiler Manufacturing Co., Ltd. Zhao Ming, and the President of Harbin Zhicai Coal Distribution Co., Ltd., alumnus Sun Dezhi expressed their determination to support the development of education and contribute to the community in their speeches. They hoped that HIT can achieve greater achievements in the field of personnel training, scientific research, production and research cooperation.
Wang Shuquan, on behalf of HIT, expressed thanks to the corporations for their support. He said that HIT would take advantage of personnel training, scientific research and production and research cooperation to make more contributions to the social and economic development through cooperation with corporations.
