The Third Teaching Competition of Young College Teachers of Heilongjiang Province has been successfully held at Harbin University of Science and Technology on August 20, 2015 by the Colleges and Universities Working Committee of Heilongjiang Province, Education Department of Heilongjiang Province and Education Working Committee of Heilongjiang Province. Seventy-two competitors from 25 universities in Heilongjiang province took part in the competition. Liu Hongchen from the School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Yin Xunbo from the School of Science and Zhang Yang from the School of Foreign Languages took part in the competition on behalf of Harbin Institute of Technology, and won the first prize in the Applied Subject of Natural Science, Basic Subject of Natural Science and Humanities and Social Sciences respectively. Liu Hongchen ranked first in the Applied Subject of Natural Science, and he will take part in the Third National Teaching Competition of Young College Teachers next year on behalf of Heilongjiang province. Harbin Institute of Technology won the Award of Excellent Organization this time.
The competition consists of teaching plans and teaching practice. The competitor randomly chooses one of the 20 lessons handed upon registration, and then gives a 20-minute teaching demonstration. The judges will grade the competitor in accordance with the teaching plan, teaching content, language and gestures.
Before the competition, there was a tryout aiming to select the best young teachers of Harbin Institute of Technology, and those young teachers received comprehensive guidance from teaching experts of Harbin Institute of Technology several times to help them prepare for the competition. Those young teachers fully showed the solid teaching foundations and favorable attitude of Harbin Institute of Technology through this competition.
