On September 18th, in order to promote the economic development and construction of Heilongjiang province, as well as further strengthen the exchanges and cooperation between HIT entrepreneurial alumni, the Harbin Institute of Technology Entrepreneurship Alumni Association (hereinafter referred to as “LILACLUB”) Inauguration Ceremony and the 2nd LILACLUB Elite Forum were held at the school. During the event, alumni from around the country also held three other forums, namely, High-End Equipment Special Topic Forum, HIT Entrepreneurial Alumni and Investment Community Alumni Forum, and Information Industry Special Topic Forum.
Ren Nanqi, School Vice President and Alumni Association Vice Chairman, Yang Shiqin, School Former President and Alumni Association Honorary Chairman and LILACLUB Honorary Chairman, Xiong Yan, Alumni Association Vice Chairman and Beijing Alumni Association President and LILACLUB President unveiled LILACLUB and addressed the ceremony. Song Yanzhe, LILACLUB Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General, introduced the basic situation of the LILACLUB. Xiong Yan awarded Appointment Letters to LILACLUB Vice Chairman and LILACLUB Secretary General. Sun Heyi, School Former Vice President and Alumni Association Vice Chairman and Advisory Board Chairman awarded Appointment Letters to LILACLUB counselors. Related personnel of the Science and Industry School introduced the achievements of our school in recent years to attending alumni.
“It is the HIT spirit that lets us stick to the original dream, and lets us make the impossible possible and make possible excellent.” On behalf of HIT, Ren Nanqi welcomed alumni back to the school, and introduced the developments and achievements of the school. He said, the achievement of alumni are the biggest harvest of HIT, and their success is the best publicity for the school. Ren Nanqi also spoke highly of the concept and effect of LILACLUB.
Yang Shiqin mentioned that since the call of “Marching Forward to Science” announced by the Premier Zhou Enlai, teachers and students have made remarkable achievements in the advanced technology field. He used his own experience and knowledge to explain how the school's development is closely bound with the fate of the nation. With the background of “Public Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, LILACLUB was born at the right moment. With alumni working together, LILACLUB will definitely tribute an outstanding 100 years’ anniversary present to alma mater after 5 years.
“We hope to give some assistance on key points to entrepreneurial alumni, and to provide support as far as possible when they are in difficulty.” Xiong Yan illustrated his idea of “Fifty-eight, Start again” in his speech, which was about creating a capital fund, and he also expressed his willingness to join LILACLUB was to allow entrepreneurial alumni in trouble to help each other. He said, with the assistance and LILACLUB and alumni, at HIT’s 100 years’ anniversary in 2020, there would be a large number of high-quality alumni enterprises.
According to the report, LILACLUB is an alumni organization launched by a group of enthusiastic entrepreneurial alumni volunteers, under the assistance of the Alumni General Association and alumni associations around the country. It adheres to the principle of “Wide contact with alumni everywhere and in every circle; Establishing a sustainable developing entrepreneurial alumni communication mechanism; Collecting entrepreneurial alumni supply-demand information; Sharing entrepreneurial alumni mutual resources; Helping alumni to persist and succeed in entrepreneurship”. Besides, LILACLUB also aims to build an interactive service platform in project, fund, talent and core resources to support HIT entrepreneurs, break through the resource and information channel for exchange and cooperation between school entrepreneurs and alumni in different circles and fields, and to achieve the sustainable development of alumni’ entrepreneurship.
Since the foundation in June 2013, LILACLUB has already received more than 15,000 registered members, and have held activities around the country including more than 300 Entrepreneurship Forums, Entrepreneurship Project Exchange Conferences, Entrepreneurship Project Road Shows, Alumni Enterprise Visits, which have provided various development and cooperation opportunities for alumni enterprises and entrepreneurial alumni. These activities have contributed to nearly twenty investment and financing services between alumni enterprises with a scale amount of nearly a billion yuan, more than 30 enterprise cooperation and project matching, and more than 50 market promotion programs, which has largely promoted the cooperation and communication among alumni enterprises and the transformation of the school’s scientific research.
