The second Qingdao International Technology Transfer Convention and ASRTU Russian University S&T Industry Summit were held in Qingdao through December 13th to 15th. Vice President Han Jiecai delivered a speech at the conference.
Han Jiecai expressed, on behalf of the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU) and Harbin Institute of Technology, warm congratulations on the opening of the meeting. Han, in his speech, introduced the developmental history, great achievements and developmental planning of ASRTU. He hopes we could start discussions on issues of common concern, such as furthering our cooperation in the field of international scientific and technological innovation under new situations, realize the strategic butt joint between the Silk Road Economic Belt and Eurasian Economic Union, and drive regional economic development by scientific and technological cooperation. In addition, we should actively explore innovation mechanisms and mode of cooperation in the field of international science and technology industry.
This conference was sponsored by the Qingdao Municipal Peoples Government and the Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities, and organized by Qingdao Municipal Science and Technology Commission. About 500 people from institutions such as universities and colleges, high and new tech enterprises, incubators and incubated enterprises and technology intermediary agencies from countries including the United Kingdom, Russia, Israel, Germany and China attended the conference. A total of 17 Russian colleges and universities from ASRTU participated in the conference, providing nearly 80 high-tech industrial projects. Our school provided 20 industrial projects, involving environmental protection, new materials and other areas. First Vice President of Moscow Technical University of Communication and Informatics Viktor Sokolov delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. Vice President of Izhevsk Technological University Alexander delivered a keynote speech titled "Regional Innovation Activities of the Russian Federation (taking Udmurt for example)"
At ASRTU Russian University S&T Industry Summit, representatives had a further discussion around these themes, such as "technological innovation driving regional economic development, win-win cooperation promoting international technology transfer", and "seizing development strategy butt joint opportunity, whilst strengthening Sino-Russian science and technology industry cooperation". These representatives shared their precious experiences of scientific and technological cooperation, industrial incubation, and intellectual property protection, and exchanged their views on school-enterprise cooperation, industry transformation and the upgrade of scientific and technological cooperation in the Eurasian region under the new situation.
Some activities, such as "universities of ASRTU at the anti-fascist war" photo itinerant exhibition and construction site inspection of HIT Science Park in Qingdao (official headquarters of ASRTU), were also implemented during the conference.
Officials of International HIT and Research Academy of Science and Technology of HIT attended the meeting.
