HIT holds the 2015 International Teaching and Research Seminar of World Architectural History

The 2015 International Teaching and Research Seminar of World Architectural History was held at HIT recently. This seminar was organized by the School of Architecture of HIT and the Chinese Steering Committee of College Architecture Discipline. The subject of the seminar was the teaching and research of world architectural history in the New Media Age; and the focus was laid on world architectural history teaching in the time of digitization and informatisation and world architectural history research in the background of diversification and cross multi-disciplines.

Forty-five scholars and graduate students attended the seminar. Those who addressed the seminar were Xu Dianguo, the vice-president of HIT, He Jingtang, a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Wu Jiang, the vice-president of Tongji University, Wang Jianguo, the director of Chinese Steering Committee of College Architecture Discipline, and Mei Hongyuan, the president of the School of Architecture of HIT. Keynote speeches were delivered by scholars from the University of Minnesota, University College Dublin, Polytechnic University of Turin, Tsinghua University, Tongji University and Tianjin University. Special reports were also made on the teaching research of world architectural history and theoretical research of world architectural history.
