HIT Students Win Great Achievements at the First China “Internet Plus” College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition

From October 19th to 21st, the First China “Internet Plus” College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition finals came to an end. The two teams from HIT representing Heilongjiang province won the Silver and Bronze Awards separately. The “College-Student Bi-directional Information Service Platform” submitted by the YCamp Team was awarded the Silver Award, while another work “Global Internet Wisdom Cloud Platform and Intelligent Hospital System”, submitted by the other team won the Bronze Award.
Li Keqiang, Standing Committee member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC and State Council Premier made important instructions to the competition. Liu Yandong, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the CPC and State Council Vice-premier granted an interview to the awarded students, teachers and experts representatives, attended the conference of further promoting the reform of education of innovation and entrepreneurship, and made a speech. Yuan Guiren, minister of the Ministry of Education, attended and addressed the ceremony.

This competition was jointly held by the Ministry of Education, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Industry and Information, Ministry of Human Resource and Social Security, Communist Youth League Central Committee and the People’s Government of Jilin Province. After school-level and provincial-level preliminaries, 300 elite teams entered the national finals, of which 111 were creation teams and 189 were practice teams. After fierce competition, a total of 4 first three prizes, 34 Gold Awards, 82 Silver Awards and 184 Bronze Awards were awarded.

YCamp Team, the representative team of Heilongjiang Province from HIT, consists of five members, namely, Li Nan, Xue Jing, Ye Shi, Li Xiaoming, and Lu Jiandong, and with one supervisor Sun Zhongyuan from the Economics and Management School, HIT. The project that won the Silver Award was initiated by HIT Innovation Square, a bi-directional information service platform for college and outstanding students that is based on the “Internet Plus Education”. There are altogether 19 members in the YCamp Team, including undergraduate, master and doctor students majoring in Computer Science, Information Management, Mathematics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Law and other majors. It is worth mentioning that, the YCamp Team has also received attention from national media, with China Education Daily publishing a picture of the YCamp Team on the prominent place of the front-page.

HIT YCamp Team
