On December 5th, the 30th International Volunteer Day, the Lilac Youth Service Station officially went into operation. The station is dedicated to provide all the league members in HIT a one-stop and menu-type service. President Assistant Peng Yuankui and the leader of the School League Committee unveiled the service station together.

With the principle of “With our sincere service, guaranteeing you a qualified school life”, and the mission of “Making the youth’s life easier and more beautiful”, the Lilac Youth Service Station will provide menu-type services for more than 10 student organizations or teams on solving difficulties and meeting demands, such as computer repair, exam consultation, legal assistance, community construction, voluntary service, lost and found, new media production, minority students education support and student feedback collection to build a convenient platform for the study and life of Youth League members. The Lilac Youth Service Station is located in room 434, and it will rely on the school website, “University Life” online operation platform, to provide online and offline platform services. Operating periods include every noon and night from Monday to Friday, and every Saturday and Sunday. In the future, the Lilac Youth Service Station will also combine with related research to introduce more service projects to meet the demand of Youth League members.

Peng Yuankui pointed out that the formal operation of the station is very important to improve students’ happiness while studying and sense of belonging to HIT. He expected that in the future, the station could provide services with qualified attitude, efficiency and level for the youth, and understand the concerns and demands of the youth in college. Also, the Lilac Youth Service Station should imitatively collect information through service, to provide support for school policy. In addition, the volunteers at the station should transfer the principle of station through the realization of self-education, self-management and self-service, practice the socialist core value of “HIT Specifications” with real actions, and constantly improve and optimize themselves in the process of service.

Relevant personnel in charge of the School League Committee and co-construction unit attended the ceremony.
