On May 8th, the Seventh National College Mechanical Innovation Competition organized by HIT was held in the Activity Center. Deng Zongquan, the vice president of HIT and director of the organization committee of national competitions and Wang Yueran from the Higher Education Office of the Education Department of Heilongjiang Province attended the opening ceremony.
The theme of this competition was “serve the society--efficient, convenient and personalized”. More than 230 students and teachers from 12 universities attended the final competition. There were 24 first prizes and 48 second prizes awarded. Competitors from HIT won 8 first prizes, 4 second prizes and the Outstanding Organization Award. Seven excellent works (5 excellent works belonging to HIT) chosen in this competition will attend the national final in late July on behalf of Heilongjiang province.
The National College Mechanical Innovation Competition is one of the national college competition programs, which is subsidized by the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Finance. It is held every two years. This competition is co-hosted by the University Mechanical Basic Course Teaching and Instruction Committee of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Office of Education Department of Heilongjiang Province.
