In the forenoon of June 20, over 300 international students who had obtained the certificates of graduation or completion gathered in the Activity Center to join the farewell meeting for the international students.
The vice-president Ren Nanqi extended his congratulations in his address to the international students for their graduation and extended thanks to all of the teachers and administrators for their hard work , guidance and assistance to the international students. He also gave a full affirmation to the new breakthrough and progress that the International Student Center made in the work. He hoped the international students could apply the skills into the practical work after they go back to their countries and continue the friendship between China and their countries and become the messengers of the friendship between China and their countries and make contributions for the common prosperity of the world.
Professor Liang Dapeng from the School of Economy and Management and Zhang Hong who is a teacher from the Chinese Training Department in the International Student Center hoped the international students could develop the HIT spirit into their future work and contact with HIT after graduation to strengthen the cultural exchange among countries.
Dr. Ai Sang form Iran and the language student Yin Liangchao represented all the international students to deliver speeches in the meeting. They shared their experiences and gains in study, research, social practice and so on in HIT. They can’t forget the movements of studies and life in HIT，thank for the teachers’guidance in study and the assistance in their life and appreciate the care and encouragement from the schoolmates. They will continue to endeavor in their field and strive to win glory for HIT. Wherever they are, they won’t forget they once graduated from HIT and will perform the school motto of “Being strict in qualifications for graduates; making every endeavor in educating students.”
