From May 24th to 26th, 2016 Aoshan Eurasian Science and Technology Forum and Third Annual Conference of ASRTU co-sponsored by ASRTU (Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities) and Qingdao government was held in Qingdao, in order to fully observe the "One Belt One Road" strategy and deepen the education, science and technology, and cultural exchanges between China and Russia. Yu Jihai, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Ministry of Education, and Li Qun, Standing Committee of the Shandong Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of Qingdao Municipal Committee attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Wang Guangzheng, Vice Mayor of Qingdao, Ren Nanqi, Vice President of HIT, and Xu Xiaofei attended related activities.

On the opening ceremony, Anatoly A. Aleksandrov, Russian Permanent Chairman of ASRTU and President of Bauman Moscow State Technical University, Victor Konnov, Counselor of Russian Embassy in China and Director of Russian Culture Center in Beijing, and Karavaeva, Chief Executive Officer of Russian University Union and Vice President Assistant of Moscow University successively read the congratulation letters from Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Russian Embassy in China, Russian Association of University Presidents and Russian University Union for the 5th anniversary of ASRTU. Representatives of three rotating presidency of ASRTU pressed together on the starting ball of 5th anniversary ceremony. Ren Nanqi and Aleksandrov awarded memorial trophies to the second-term presidency universities, Tongji University and ITMO University, and the third-term presidency universities, Northwestern Polytechnical University and Moscow Aviation Institute.

Conference issued Declaration of Aoshan Eurasian Science and Technology Forum, declaring the official foundation of Aoshan Eurasian Science and Technology Forum, with its permanent location of ASRTU official headquarters in Aoshanwei, Jimo. The forum will rely on HIT Qingdao Science Park, take the opportunity of "One Belt One Road" and the strategy of Eurasian Economic Union, take the advantage of integrated hub location of Shandong peninsula, Russia far East area, China northeast area and the technology resources of Chinese and Russian Universities, through introducing, learning and absorbing European, Asian and international advanced technologies, to upgrade the technology innovation capacity and high-end manufacturing level of forum. The forum attempts to built an Europe-Asia technology innovation cooperation platform, to promote the technology cooperation to Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, West Asia and European area, and to accelerate an Eurasian community of scientific and technological innovation.ASRTU University President Forum was also held during the conference. Nearly 50 school leaderships from elite engineering universities of ASRTU discussed and exchanged opinions on "Building China-Russia ASRTU Higher Education Resource Community", "'One

Belt One Road' Together with 'Eurasian Economic Union', Technology Innovation Driving Regional Economic Development", "Developing China and Russian University Development New Space Through Cooperation", "Talent Training Driving Innovation-type Economic Development", "Research-type University • Technology Innovation", "Innovation-type Economic • Sustainable Development", and "Chinese and Russian School Enterprise Industry Cooperation Prospect".

At the gala dinner, teachers and students representatives from HIT MUSICA Indoor Mixed Chorus, Russian Culture Center in Beijing, Bauman Moscow State Technical University and Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas performed Jasmine, Moscow Nights, Katyusha, and Auld Lang Syne and other classic Chinese and Russian songs, and gave their best wises to the 5th anniversary of ASRTU.

Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU) was co-founded by HIT and Bauman Moscow State Technical University in March 2011, aiming to assemble Sino-Russian elite technical universities, foster personnel of high quality, promote Sino-Russian talents communication and scientific cooperation, and accelerate the mutual development of innovative economy. After five years’ development, ASRTU member universities has exceeded 50 ones. With the influencing power of ASRTU keeps increasing, it has become a key bridge for the science and cultural communication of Chinese and Russian universities.
