On 27th May, Anatoly A. Aleksandrov, President of Bauman Moscow State Technical University and delegation visited HIT. Zhou Yu, President of HIT met visitors at the Administrative Building.
Zhou Yu welcomed the delegation, and briefly introduced the basic situation of HIT and reviewed the cooperation and exchange history between two schools. Zhou Yu said that HIT and Bauman Moscow State Technical University had a long history of friendship, and we had maintained close exchanges and cooperation in the field of higher engineering education and training. We had jointly cultivated a large number of talents, which had become a historical epitome of Sino-Russian friendship. The Association of Sino-Russian Technical Universities (ASRTU) co-founded by HIT and Bauman Moscow State Technical University, as an example of cooperation between universities, had created a precedent for college and university union in China and Russia. Zhou Yu expressed his expectation for further exerting the disciplinary advantage of both schools in youth exchanges, personnel training, joint scientific research and other fields, and to further carry out our substantive cooperation.
Aleksandrov spoke highly of the achievements of HIT in recent years. He said, HIT is the most important partner college of Moscow Bauman State Technical University in China. Two schools had achieved fruitful results in fields such as teacher and student exchange and research cooperation. Particularly in the last 5 years, under the framework of ASRTU, the level of cooperation had reached a new high. He hoped that two schools could continue to deepen bilateral cooperation in preponderant disciplines, and as the leaders of the elite universities in both countries, to promote the communication of experts of think tank and young students, to therefore accelerate the science and technology innovative economic development.
During the visit, the delegation visited HIT Museum, State Key Laboratory of Urban Water Resource and Environment and State Key Laboratory of Robotics and System.
Ding Xuemei, Vice President of HIT, and other officials from International Cooperation Department, School of Electrical Engineering and Automation and School of Foreign Languages attended the meeting.
