On HIT campus in autumn, trees and grass burst into varied colors as if they are changing their colors each and every day, and the air smells clean and fresh. As a Chinese old saying goes, “the sky is blue with white clouds while the land is covered by yellow leaves.” In a sunny day, the sun shines through clouds in a blue sky. The land is covered by golden yellow leaves. Walking along the path, you can hear the gentle sound of leaves’ breaking, and you can feel the warm and tranquil happiness behind the sounds. No matter where you go on campus, you can feel it so strong that you dare not to speak out loud to destroy it as if you are willing to destroy this world of fairy tales.
“The wind in fall is strong and energetic. Though not in spring, the scenery in autumn is more beautiful than it is in spring.” HIT in autumn is like a dreamy Ivory Tower, brilliant and real. In autumn, those places that we are familiar with become more fascinating for the burning hues of grass and trees. Here, every HITer has eyes to find the beauty. They capture this beauty in photographs with cameras or phones with or without company. But what a shame that the autumn in the north goes by so fast that before many people have time to appreciate its beauty, it has already flies away. However, it is more worthy of being appreciated and treated carefully thanks to the fact that it goes by fast. Otherwise, you will never know what you miss. Is this not also true of our youth, study and life?
