Our School Team Won the First Prize of National Undergraduate Structure Design Competition

Recently, the 10th national undergraduate structure design competition finished. Our school team made up of the undergraduates Xu Lifeng, Huang Xi and Wu Jinfeng of the department of civil engineering won the first prize in the competition with their entry “Fu Si” under the direction of two teachers, Shao Yongsong and Zhang Qingwen. HIT also has won the prize for excellent organization.

The topic of this competition is long span roof structure. It connects closely with the most advanced trend of architectural technology and draw attention from 125 teams in 124 colleges such as HIT, Tsinghua University, Tongji University and Zhejiang University.

The national undergraduate structure design competition is held by a professional steering committee of civil engineering of colleges and universities and the education working committee of Chinese civil engineering society jointly. It is now an important competition for our civil engineering subject to cultivate the sense of innovation,cooperation as well as the practical ability of undergraduates.
