HIT Students’ Entrepreneurial Enterprises Won the Gold Award of the "Youth" AVIC China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition

On November 19, the final of the "Youth" AVIC China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition in 2016 came to an end in Chengdu. In the competition, HIT students’ entrepreneurial enterprises- Harbin Leju Intelligent Science and Technology co., Ltd stood out from tens of thousands of projects across the country and won the gold medal of the entrepreneurial practice competition. In this competition, this is the first gold medal for HIT in this kind of competition, also it’s the only medal for Heilongjiang Province. Besides, another two projects of HIT students- intelligent wheelchair and the production and industrialization of titanium products based on new titanium-aluminum composite pot won the National Bronze Award respectively.

Harbin Leju Intelligent Science and Technology co., Ltd as the first batch of enterprises entered the Innovation Pioneering Park was found in October 2015. As a high-tech enterprise, Harbin Leju Intelligent Science and Technology co., Ltd mainly focuses on research and development, manufacturing and selling of robots and has gained over 10 million yuan investment from the Angel Invest. The company has 41 full-time employees, including 3 doctors, 7 masters. Most of them are HIT students. In September 2016, the company launched the first generation of "Aelos Robot" officially which were welcomed by a large number of users. Two months later,its sales revenue has reached 12 million yuan.In November,the robot has successfully entered U.S. and European markets, and a well-known overseas sales company has signed an order valued hundreds of thousands of dollars with Leju. Now the company is speeding up its progress of developing the second-generation humanoid robot.

The "Youth" China College Students’ Entrepreneurship Competition is jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, CAST and ACSF. It is based on the original "Challenge Cup" Chinese College Entrepreneurship Plan Competition and it is held once every two years.
