Recently, the leader of our school National Natural Science Foundation’s Innovative Research Groups, "Changjiang Scholar" Professor, "thousands of plans" expert, Liu Hong applied for " International science and technology cooperation base of the space robot ". After two rounds of fierce competition, our school successfully passed the expert review, and given access to the identity from the Ministry of Science. The base is the third national science and technology cooperation base approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology after the International Joint Research Center for Advanced Composites, the China-Russia-Ukraine International Joint Research Center for Welding. It is also one of the fruitful achievements of the international scientific and technological cooperation research and exchange work in recent years marking a new breakthrough for the school in the national international scientific and technological cooperation platform construction.

"Space robot national international scientific and technological cooperation base" is relying on the Institute of mechanical and electrical, surrounding the core of space robot research, based on aerospace, defense services, facing the main battlefield for the national economy, and a number of researches are in the international advanced level. The base has established a good partnership with more than 20 universities and research institutions such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of California, Purdue University, University of Oxford, University of Bath, the German Aerospace Center, University of Munich, France University of Paris VI, Compagnie Technical University, and Moscow Universities in more than 10 countries. It has long-term and in-depth cooperation with the internationally renowned scholars in academic research and personnel training, and has set up a "Sino-German joint space robot technology laboratory" ,"Harbin Institute of Technology - Samara National University of Aeronautics and Astronautics vibration joint laboratory" and other cooperation platforms.

After the identification of the base, we will continue to focus on the core area of space robot, nurture and expand the space robot new research direction, improve the level of scientific research, enhance international vision, build international research team, cultivate international top talent to build a greater international influential force of space robot scientific research base, personnel training and the introduction bases, and a international high-tech introduction base.
