Recently, the results of the 1st, Entrepreneurship Star, with the theme of "pursuing the dream, fighting for the youth", was announced in Heilongjiang Province. Our students, Wan Long and Wan Jie, the directors of Innovation Incubation Park were awarded "the Entrepreneurship Star of College Students in Heilongjiang Province". Provincial Standing Committee, Propaganda Department Minister Zhang Xiaolian, deputy director of the Provincial People's Congress Hu Shiying, and deputy governor Hu Yafeng attended the event and gave awards to the winners.
Wan Long, a Ph.D. student from the Material Science and Engineering School of HIT, has been crowned with many honors, such as Special Award in the "Challenge Cup" National Student Extracurricular Science and Technology Competition and in the first "Chunhui Innovation Achievement Award" as well as he has published 20 SCI papers and obtained 30 patents. In 2015, he founded Harbin Wanzhou Welding Technology Co., Ltd., which is a manufacturing enterprise with high-end equipment, covering friction stir welding technology research and development, processing production, equipment manufacturing and technical services. It collected 300 million Angel Investment. Currently, the staff amount to 16 in which the backbone technical teams are HIT students, and today the company's capital market market cap exceeds one billion.
Wan Jie, a 2016 doctoral graduate, published more than 40 papers, applied nearly 40 invention patents and participate in more than 50 enterprise projects in the school. In 2015, he founded Harbin Ran Zhuo Technology Development Co., Ltd.. It mainly provides large-scale equipment of power stations with the safety monitoring, as well as related hardware, software and technical services in intelligent operation and maintenance. There are 30 employees and the annual volume of sales contracts has hit 10 million yuan in 2016.
It is reported that this activity led by the Propaganda Department of Provincial Party Committee and co-organized by the Provincial Committee Work Committee, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial People's Office, the Communist Youth League, Heilongjiang Radio and Television. Through the recommendation, declaration, initial assessment review, field visit, public voting, comprehensive assessment and other steps, 10 students were selected as "Entrepreneurship Star of University Students", and 10 ones as “Outstanding University Entrepreneurs of the Heilongjiang province".
